A SMALLER, CALMER, BRIGHTER MAC
One shortcut to learn
The action palette opens right where your cursor is. Fix grammar and De-slop are one keypress away; everything else is behind the ⋯.
⌃⌥N opens the action palette
The whole product
The selected text is replaced where it sits. You do not open Neat, paste anything, or leave the app you were writing in.
Hey, just wanted to reach out and touch base regarding the thing we discussed last week. Let me know your thoughts when you get a chance.
System-wide
Neat lives in the menu bar and works on whatever is selected, in whatever app is in front of you. It is not another editor to move your writing into.
Thanks for the notes. we was hoping to circle back on this and leverage our learnings before friday, then ship.
The actions
Each action has one job. Pick one and the selection is rewritten where it sits. Write your own when none of them fits.
Make it correct.
Spelling, agreement, punctuation. The sentence you wrote, without the mistakes.
Make it clearer.
Cuts the corporate padding — the reaching out, the circling back, the touching base.
Make it sound like you.
Warmer, firmer, shorter. Pick the register from the action palette.
Make it do what you say.
Type an instruction once — "turn this into three bullet points" — and save it. It gets a letter, and a place in the palette.
Privacy
The model runs on your Mac. There is no server to send your writing to, because there is no server.
