What does Neat cost?

Fix grammar and De-slop are free, for good. Neat Pro — the action palette, custom instructions, and the Max model — is $19.99 once, on up to five Macs. There is no subscription and no account.

How does the license work?

After checkout you get a key by email. Paste it into Settings ▸ License. Each Mac takes one of the key's five seats, and you can free a seat from that Mac at any time.

What do I need to run it?

A Mac with Apple Silicon, running macOS 14 or later.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After the one-time model download, Neat works with no connection at all. Your text never leaves your Mac.

How much space and memory does it use?

The model is about 1 GB and is downloaded once. Neat only uses memory while it is working and frees it after 10 idle minutes; the rest of the time it sits at about 50 MB.

How fast is it?

About half a second per action once the model is warm. The first action after launch takes a few seconds while the model loads.

Which apps does it work in?

Any app where you can select text — Mail, Slack, Notes, Safari, Messages, and the rest. Neat replaces the selection in place.
